AI can't delete physical coinage, or precious metals. physical coinage would reign again.
AI would only be a threat as long as people tried to rely on digital electronic devices.
barter and skills would be the currency of the new economy. family would stop laughing at silver stackers.
the wealthiest people would lose alot of their wealth as AI would render that wealth meaningless and the wealthy would be unable to pay enough enforcers to keep their largest holdings. Bill Gates would lose alot of farmland.
any infrastructure, organization, or support that requires liquidity to operate would face serious challenges. mega corporations would probably balkanize. though fund transfers could still be done via low-tech analogue equipment the way it was done during the telegraph era, the volume would be much lower. there was also a form of banking/credit that was done in the middle ages with a carved stick split in two. i can't remember the name of it or find it now, but i'll look some more and edit in a link if i find something.
though intially, AI wiping out all debts is essentially a jubilee, freeing millions of people, this would still be a major social upheaval, SHTF scenario as per OP's original wargame (though not as immediately dire for most people), which means there's gonna be conflict along racial lines until that shit gets settled out (in the U.S. and other western nations, anyway). again, just like my comment in that post, the demographics with the most ability (either resources or skill) to organize, cooperate amongst themselves, and improvise low-tech solutions to killing/defending themselves will be the winners.
alot of bullshit, white-collar, busy-work office jobs are going to disappear, especially ones like HR, that are predominantly staffed by women. culturally, HUUUUUGE numbers of women are going to be faced with the economic choice of becoming prostitutes or finding a man. not a very large percentage of women, either by inclination, temperment, or skill, will be able to continue living independently in a society/economy that will suddenly go back (at least temporarily) to relying on trades that build or maintain things.
Pretty much nailed it 'cept for that sexist HR rant ...
you think women are going to flock to the trades and building things with their hands? how many women are currently employed in jobs that actually make tangible, physical things?
if AI wiped out digital recording and accumulation of money, people would say "fuck computers, then", and society would go back to what it was before the invention of the IC chip. there's a whole bunch of pre-IC tech that would become in vogue again, and very few of those fields had significant numbers of women involved in the actual invention, creation, and manufacture of that tech. indeed, quite a few factories employed women, but how many of today's women do you see having the fortitude to choose factory work to maintain their economic independence?

edit: though wikipedia doesn't do it the same level of justice as my /pol/ screencap, here's a link describing the split tally stick: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tally_stick#Split_tally

via marriage, generally. coincidentally less so as digital electronics became more inseparable from our daily lives.
