A bike would only be viable transportation for about 3 days, then you may become a target riding one

True that. First few days, and then again in 3 months when all the unprepared lemmings are dead due to dehydration / starvation / dysentery, because they didn't wanna be like the "conspiracy theorists" by preparing.
