Proteins are not just picked up though, nor do they live indefinitely. But everything else is mostly right that you said from what I have read.
The idea of the shed proteins only applies in cases where people are transmitting the protein in a way that is picked up.
The spike protein is not the only part of the virus and while you can engineer it to be manufactured and to then get into the body through the mRNA or through injection, you cannot easily get it to transmit without the rest of the virus.
The spike protein is merely a way for the virus to get picked up once it gets into the body at specific receptor sites. In this case, it allows the virus to target specific parts of the body. And having the protein in the body, would target those areas, but outside of the body, it does not magically get transmitted. It gets broken down by UV, etc, like other chemicals.
The spike protein is damaging, but not necessarily does it survive in the wild as has been suggested. Now in close-confines and during a symptomatic outbreak, it is more likely that excess amounts would be present, so more likely to get transmitted, but it is also not been shown from what I have seen. So if you have some links, I would like to know more.
My understanding is that if the vaccine didn't kill you relatively quickly (within 5 years) then it will likely not....except with possible other issues. Like weakened immune system - so something else might (VAIDS), or possible fertility issues which do not kill you but make you unable to have children, etc.
I do not in one bit, worry about people who didn't take it...and in general, I do not think the majority who take it will die. They will likely be infertile before they are killed by it. It will be a thinning out process.
