• Yes he was a lefty, but he had some points about organizational brainwashing by institutions and how to become independent of big institutions (school, hospitals, government, etc).

• Another lefty, you can ignore his analysis of the economic ideals, but his insight into insitutions, oppression and brainwashing are pretty useful. Remember, lefties are brainwashed as well (some say even more so, so the brightest among them are good critics of the system).

Summerhill School by Alexander Neill

• If you run a "school" how it can be run without brainwashing children and let them develop their natural curiosity and intelligence.

Surpassing Ourselves - An Enquiry Into the Nature and Implications of Expertise by Carl Bereiter and Marlene Scardamalia

• Once you read this and understand the difference between fluid experise (knows how to see, frame, solve and critique unique new problems) and crystallized "learn by rote" expertise (is a dumb LLM style automaton, who can't think for himself) you will never view 99% of experts with any kind of admiration or trust anymore. It'll also teach you how to become a fluid expert, if you so desire.
