a) It's the strength (kratos) of people (demos) watching that maintains the show.

b) Audience; from root au - "to perceive"...others suggest shows to distract from that.

c) Consent by puppet represents string of puppeteer.

d) Resist fiction (suggestion) to become real (perception) aka PINO (pine tree) OCCHIO (eye) aka third eye (pineal) aka self discernment in-between reality (perceivable) and fiction (suggested).
