Elections are fundamentally made unverifiable and elected fundamentally have no any responsibility for fulfilling promises given to voters.
So, elections, at least in any existing form are just senseless. You can't verify that your vote was counted and counted correctly, and you can't do anything with politician who failed to do what he promised before election.
Taking in account that "freedom of choice" is a total scam when choice options selected by somebody else, the whole election crap should be discarded.
Honestly, even absolute monarchy or dictatorship looks much less disguisting with how that "democracy" looks like today. At least monarch/dictator don't need to make that regular disgusting shitshows and constantly lie to citizens.
Well, could elections have any sense at all? I think yes. At least, there should be implemented a way when any voter could verify results by himself, and elected politician should hold severe criminal responsibility with long jail time and confiscation for not fulfilling any electoral promises given to voters during his term. This is minimum. Also would be nice if only voters will be allowed to choose anybody they think is suitable for the job as candidates, not some shady forces pushing their puppets. That's where any discussion about any elections should start.
