Possibly. Shutting down a conversation is not a denial.
They believe that Q will only ever tell them something like 30% of the truth, and that they are 'researchers', but won't even contemplate the existence of hidden lands.
Yes, by definition, Q is cult-like. Massive psy-op. That doesn't mean that some or even most things Q has posted are not true or at least reasonable. It's when folks amazingly start to think of Q as if God and somehow capable of predicting and even controlling the future and reality itself that they turn into irrational retards.
That being said, I think the Q movement as a whole is generally a "good" influence on the patriot movement, as it provides a needful counterweight to the abject hopelessness that the deep state is daily flooding us with. If only for the mental attitude that "their day will come," in much the same way as the book of Revelation provided for the early Christian church. Nobody understands the book of Revelation, and if they claim to, they are grifting you. But taken as a whole, even without perfect understanding, it both shows the depths of evil in the world and the ultimate vindication of good. Even if one interprets it as fiction, this is still a "true" allegory.
Not saying I put Q on anywhere near the level of Holy Scripture, which, as I said, is the mistake Q followers make. Just that it provides a psychological counterpoint to the hopelessness that would otherwise tend to murder the patriot movement. I disagree that it is a psy-op designed to foster inaction.
I never understood quite what it was. Does this guy "Q" post under a certain username? Or do they selectively pick between a bunch of anonymous posts and pick and choose which ones are Q? Who does Q claim to be?
Q is a verified poster on 4chan and then later 8kun. Probably shared by more than one person, as sometimes it is "signed" as "Q+" instead of "Q". Legend has it that "Q+" is Trump but obviously no confirmation. Q claims to be a member of the Trump inner circle who has "Q clearance" aka highest level of security clearance. Q's posts intimate that he is either a member of or sympathetic to the NSA or at least another very high-level intel group (possibly military and not NSA), while at the same time extremely antagonistic toward the CIA.
Much of the FUD regarding Q comes from other anon posters commenting, many times saying things that are false, but which the MSM likes to quote in order to denigrate Q.
Q's later posts were not as cryptic or controversial nor alleging facts not commonly known; they were simply commentaries and summaries of facts already widely known by the movement and were more pep talks than anything else. But the earlier posts often claimed inside info nobody but a true insider could have.
Here's a site that has Q posts and a nice search/sort facility
There is not much of any useful information in there. Allegations that two guys were Q-anon that don't hold up. Most of it is just boogie man propaganda. Also I don't think they have the dates correct. I thought Q showed up before October of 2017. I thought pizzagate was a 2016 scandal while the campaign was still running.
They say they don't permit it because Q "shut down" that discussion, lol

So if Q came out as a flattie, would it suddenly become an important mainstream conspiracy? That forum is very cult-like.

Do they even ever discuss Antarctica there?

Sometimes it would seem.

George Washington would be disgusted by operation trust the plan. Pure fantasy, and damaging to the MAGA movement.
Would George Washington support Operation Wait For Jesus To Return? Two more weeks? Two more millennium?
Spinning in his grave, a damn shame.

So the Q psyop said to stop talking about the flat earth psyop? Fucking hilarious.
All I can think of Ghostbusters, and the warnings about not crossing the streams.
