If Iran admitted to knowing beforehand or sponsoring October 7, Israel and the US would start an open war with them.
It would be a literal act of war by Iran against Israel.

Sure. I thought war crimes were against the rules too, but they don't seem to care about those.
That's realpolitik for you. Will be hard for the UN security Council to object to USA and Israel glassing Iran if Iran openly admits to an act of war.
