That's deep words on deaf ears...
He also said all the time that they won't play his songs on radio. Unless it fit a gangster image. He added one liners referring to other songs. His music can get deep.
DMX was like an apprentice (rap) going against a master (spell-craft)...attempting to blame an industry; while failing to realize INDUS'TRIOUS, adjective (Latin industria) - "constant" aka being temporary (life) within constant (inception towards death).
A master of spell-craft tricked an apprentice to willingly go against the foundation of life, hence leading him to his own demise.

Magic aka secret operations (suggested words) of natural causes (perceivable sound)...it's on oneself to discern that, while others tempt one to ignore the latter for the former.
