Right up until the bombing of Gaza started we were still being fed Ukraine spam in the mainstream media and Ukraine flags were still being flown by soy faggots while countries rushed to commemorate the so called holodomor and employers sought discrimination loopholes so they could fire and suspend Russians that worked for them. And then in an instant it’s all forgotten as we move on to the precious Jews.

The mundane truth is it's because they really don't care about any such things, at all, it's all about ego and social ritual, not the thing itself, some get stuck on an outdated thing because it was their first thing that made them feel excited, important, intelligent, superior, involved etc and they're afraid to let it go but most move fluidly from one thing to the next thing because on some level they understand it's just role playing, any time you see someone spazzing out about the current thing you should know that there's a 99.9% chance that person doesn't actually care about the thing at all and is just trying to play social court game of thrones
