Of course they're going to incorporate little grains of truth in their bullshit, because that gives the bullshit more credibility, and it allows them to associate true statements with absolute stupidity.

It doesn't matter how much others are suggesting...it's ones consent; belief; faith; creed etc. which gives it credibility aka creed-credit-bility.

Consenting to suggested feeds credit to those suggesting.
