It's just not very clear. If the "Golden Rule" is selectively enforced, it's not really a rule.

It literally isn’t. I dare you to disprove anything I have ever said which contradicts something you’ve said. You wouldn’t do it if I dropped the first four words. You wouldn’t do it if I swapped the first four words with “Can you please." You simply won’t do it, because you know you can’t. You’re so much of a coward that you refuse to defend yourself against truth. That tends to offend.
