in any event, SYDNEY to SANTIAGO is on the same flight path as SYDNEY to LAX... just further distance.

this is just CGI / a javascript cartoon - nothing observable or verifiable.
You can verify this yourself by flying from Sydney to Santiago. Flight goes as expected, it is because of jet streams: 100% in line with the flat earth model, and what it predicts.
