Most people still don't have communication with the outside world, and people are still unhoused, such as those turned away by FEMA. So this is still an ongoing emergency, like a war zone that Biden had only given $700 per family. And of that, a lot of the people giving their details to the Red Cross etc are having their info leaked and getting scammed.
He summarizes:
-emergency management director, governor and fire chief all off island. EMS director did not assign a person in his place.
no power, except a pulse
no water (water is not necessarily hooked into the electricity)
-no cell phone coverage the morning of the fire
-no cell phone alerts like you would get for missing kids
-still no text messages to go to xyz location for help. (Was it hawaii that had the accidental nuke alert a while ago?)
-no exits (search Herzog Maui escape video)
This guy wants someone with reach like Joe Rogan to interview the people there and bring awareness to the plot.
Unless 100% of the population has a brand new phone not having text is a red flag. It's on a different protocol. When the earthquake cracked the Washington monument we had no cell service but could text.

To recap what we had was great, but it seems they took it away just to make satalite phones look good.
Edit : My son said Jason Mamoa was posting at the beginning, and now has stopped. As the most famous Native Hawaiian I know, I am curious if he was threatened. We had to listen to him talk about sunblock damaging the coral reefs!

You said ”we had no cell service but could text” which cannot be true because * Because SMS and MMS are sent over a cellular network* so if you don’t have cell service - you cannot text because SMS requires cell service to work.
It’s not about money. It’s about technological dependency.
