Like why would you need any of this shit. Then I was thinking.. just those fuckin outfits with those knicker-bocker socks. These guys were all dressed like fruitcakes. Something going on here with that. I don't think they dress like that these days. Well, why, right.
Stature. The bigger the wig and the fancier the clothes - the higher the stature.
I don't support this way of showing stature, but that was the way in the 15th to 18th century. Some still use them to this day.
