My favorite part about all the space photos is that you get planets with 0 stars in the background OR wonderful and colorful galaxies... with no planets nearby. It's like taking a photo of a planet + stars is technologically impossible.

Try reading about how this image came about from the same source you kindly shared: "The Mars and comet images have been added together to create a single picture to illustrate the angular separation between the comet and Mars at closest approach"

No matter in which obscure corner of the internet you are, doubting anything related to space always comes with replies like this.
