It's backfiring. No one wants to live that way.
a) one can only have choice within need/want balance.
b) want vs not want imbalance implies ones consent to the suggestion of another aka ones choice willingly submitting to another's choice.
c) "we" represents suggested pluralism, which tempts singular one to ignore self for others.
d) being implies apart from one another, hence different. "like" implies ones choice to behave alike others instead of expressing ones differences.
