I think this has to happen to pave the way for the Anti-Christ. He can't rise to power when the USA is full of patriots ready to risk everything and fight back to the death.

I think the rapture of Church will happen when the infrastructure for a new world order is fully in place and the corruption of the collective world leadership has reached a critical mass where it can only be brought down through divine means.
