Do you think AI is going too far? It seems like AI is becoming more popular and advanced. You should see the things AI can do now: write poems https://youtu.be/QAnTG9u_7VQ https://youtube.com/shorts/bdsu3Q40wv8?feature=share, make "art", write essays, etc. (you may have heard of these things) It's also more advanced than before.

Because I know how things work.
Bloody hell.
This stupid thing do not make any decisions at all. Exactly like regular wall light switch does not decide to turn on the light after some person switch it on.
To suppose that any *GPT or anything else they pose as AI is able to make decision is the same stupidity as think that calculator decide to give you 4 if you push "2" "+" "2" "=".
To make a decision you need at least 2 things - choice and free will. Stupid system of equations have none of them.
It is amasing how people smart enough to find that forum and discuss things that thoroughly hidden from public, at the same time absolutely uncurious to find out how that simple and absolutely stupid thing they name "AI" really works.
As of now it's a huge database and only that. But as I've said: it's already starting to make short decisions. If you ask it if it prefers to travel or staying home it prefers to travel. It's FAR from being a sentient being but it's an automated robot who can make decisions based on prior database human inputs.
It does not "prefers". It just show you an answer to similar questions that was most frequent in training dataset. Stupid as that. No any decisions. No any intelligence. This have nothing to do with AI. There is no any traces of any artificial intelligence at all. No even traces of activity that could be produced by systems that could be theoretically used as some part of some rudimentary future artificial intelligence.
We are a training dataset, silly. We make decisions from our learnings. :)
Not "we". It is that social networks obsessed sheeple and propaganda bots armies who are creating ANN training dataset. With all consequences. Garbage in, garbage out. No any political desire could change this first law of information.
I'll repeat that endlessly - we live through interesting times where those who create false narratives are completely believe in them themselves and getting feedback from their own social crap shure that everything is going by their plans. They are already completely detached from reality. Their stupid game in that non-existing AI producing more garbage they take as cool answers make things even worse for them.
