Am I the only one who thinks this whole issue is retarded?
Kids nowadays aren’t even reading books. Let alone browsing through their shitty school libraries for something with porn or sex positions in it. Or some tranny book or whatever it is people are freaking about.
Kids can go on their smart phone or computer and find whatever they want.
Anyone trying to ban books is seriously misguided. I seriously don’t understand how this is even an issue.
Anyone else think it’s weird that people get worked up over that stuff? If it’s not part of the curriculum it’s not like kids are even going to read it.
If your kid goes and checks out one of these books and doesn’t have an assignment… well congratulations… your kid reads independently and is probably a fuckton smarter than his braindead tiktok peers.
I don't plan on sending my kids to public school either. I'm pretty sure home school mom's will be on the same page, or I will only befriend the ones that are. But I understand what you're saying. You can't guard your kid from everything, but you can limit their exposure to it. I really wish all the social crap would fail, but people are too addicted. I remember when no one used facebook back in what 2005...and Myspace was still "happening" Then eventually it became more and more popular, when it was really a fucking shithole. I am sure that was by design. Can't have old Tom in control.
To see people outraged...I mean at least they are fucking paying attention. No one wants to pay attention, be involved, even parent these days...so I guess it's kind of take what you can get. But if you don't like it, home school. Or find more people and fight back. Given, I am not sure if that even still works at this point. We seem fucked either way....but when it's your kids at stake, I think it gives you a bit of drive. I don't have kids yet, or I would probably be a person fighting for them, even if they were not in public school.
