The first thing the Biden campaign did was bring up the Charlottesville “good people” hoax.

Understand that they did this knowing it was fake and a lie. Their calculus is that it doesn’t matter if you disagree with their lie or disprove it.

Tribal battle lines are already drawn and that kind of debunking does NOTHING to sway cognitive dissonant normies.

But by engaging with these lies at all, you keep them on social media longer. It ping pongs back and forth and the NLP does it job regardless .

The sad truth is that people just need to keep hearing the word white supremacist to believe that it’s ubiquitous and on the rise.

These recent shootings that use Latino gang members… and the dishonest framing by the media… feels like the same thing.

All they’ll hear is a bunch of people arguing about white supremacy. So surely it must be on the rise!
