The academics behind the "1619 Project" aren't going to be happy about this documentary. Why? It exposes them.

the elites control everything

Each one of the many ignoring ELITE; noun (French élite) - "selection, choice", when choosing to consent to the suggestions of the few, shapes the few into the selected/chosen elite, hence into the "chosen ones".

somehow this documentary got made

a) DOCU; from DEK (to take; accept) + MENT (mind/memory) implies ones choice to consent to the suggestions of others; hence ones submissive state of mind.

b) DOC as in doctrine (teachings; dogma; instructions)...a doc-u-ment (docks your mind), while a doc-t-or (dock-ed-oar) prevents one from steering freely.
