remember the flatearth brouhaha here a few months ago? supposedly, the reason the one mod wanted us to consider banning FE posts was because they turn off new users. however, users tallestshil, iknowitsu, and free-wall-of-text are allowed free reign to go around shitting up comment sections. i would think any n00b landing here genuinely seeking new/unusual info/POV's would be more turned off by those three than FE posts.
Probably. But you know, it's easy to tell the crazies. After that one has to learn to ignore them. I haven't fully adjusted but I am improving even though once in awhile I blow off steam at the worst ones. I guess this is the price of freedom though, better to have freedom than to have a perfect happy world.
