As a vegan, you have to check every item that has natural flavors listed. Most of the time, it's nbd, sometimes it's animal or human products. And, brands change to the cheapest option often.
Changing to legitimate sources of food is mind blowing.
For example, I tried REAL MAPLE SYRUP on my pancakes instead of the fake corn syrup maple syrup they sell cheap in stores. Now i never want to go back.
Also, the fake vanilla extract flavoring is nothing compared to real vanilla bean extract.
I had that experience because of migraines. The sticker shock hurts the pockets, but the taste buds say yummy! I also like vanilla bean powder.
Great advice. I am keto-pescatarian.
