As a Christian I'm not fighting so hard to stay here, "death" is the finish line and then I rise again just like my King and have a new body with no more sin or pain to ever have to deal with again.
This is the stage of pain and suffering we have to get through, the worse pain we will ever have to go through.
For those who reject Christ, it's only the beginning of their sufferings as they will also be raised again in a body that will never die, but be thrown into hell.
It's why we warn, it's not being mean, it's all actually REAL.
It's called the resurrection from the dead.
