So one thing to consider here is the presence of surface ice for hundreds of miles before land. Depending upon the time of year, it's not possible for water to even get to shore much less diffract around.
Yeah good point. Not convinced on FE but hadn't heard the argument about tsunamis before. Posted the thread cause I like stirring up the pot.
