For Fresno County California July 01 thru March 09, there has been a total of 14.38 inches of rainfall dropped. Normal is 7.97 inches for the same time period. I've lived here all my life and I have never seen this much rain - ever.

For comparison, one may look at this NOAA rainfall data for various watersheds along the West Coast: Monthly Precipitation Summary Water Year 2023
There are a couple of notable items. One is that many of them have lower than normal rainfall.
The other item, which you can't see, I think is more important. When I checked this a couple of months ago, it had little or no missing data. The same pattern was present, though, with some higher than normal levels, but a great many with lower than normal.
What's the explanation? I discard that they're so incompetent that they can't keep track of rainfall. I would guess that with the "atmospheric river" and "bomb cyclone" and "end of the world" narratives being forwarded, anyone consulting the actual data would find it contradicted. So don't change the narrative, get rid of the "inconvenient truth".
