I disagree with the hard times part.

I think technology and innovation and combustible engine and such has created an abundance. The abundance is siphoned and stolen by the elite via fiat currency and inflation and other mechanisms of deceit. Easy times created weak men. We have not truly seen hard times if everyone has full bellies, even if its goyslop.
