Perhaps these drugs work, but they dont work on people with kidney problems. I wonder how many people are walking around with kidney issues and dont even realize it.
People should have their kidney function evaluated first, because if the kidneys cant filter out the medication, it destroys them. And even then a basic kidney test cant see the extent of certain types of damage, you need a mri to see what scarring has occurred.
Thats how the betablockers ended up giving me gout. I went through 7 months taking blood pressure medication for irregular heartbeat from freon poisoning. No one would give me beta blockers even though I was literally begging for them, even cried once or twice. They were acting like I was asking for fucking pain medication.
So 7 months my blood pressure raged, 200/160 night after night. I figured I had kidney damage, but because WCB has absolved themselves of any responsibility, ive been on my own trying to explain what happened to random walk in doctors.
They keep doing kidney tests and their fine, but yet my phosphorous is fucked and no one cares enough to help me figure out why.
If they had gave me something like remsidivir when I ran out of phosphorous while battling omicron, it would have been the end of me. For sure.
