Do you prefer things from a western or eastern perspective?
Western: check out Energy Work by Robert Bruce he’s got a great “system” that he explains well through “tactile imagery”
Eastern: check out Qi-Gong Empowerment: A Guide to Medical, Taoist, Buddhist, and Wushu Energy Cultivation by Liang and Wu
Should be PDFs of both at your digital library of choice. I went through both at the same time, which was an interesting experience in its own right.
Likewise I’ll always recommend The Magus of Java on this subject, an excellent merging of West and East as a Greek mechanical engineer seeks out and trains under John Chang (from the video I always link) for 10 years, relaying his experiences and the lessons he had managed to learn.
I can make my hands substantially hot just by breathing and trying to "breathe through my hands".
I even showed students when I was a tutor.
It's kinda like the reverse of the "cold handles" that they use for muscle recovery if you've ever seen those.
The palms have been long known (by those with eyes and ears, in this case mainly the Eastern traditions) to act as “energy” exchange centers.
Have you ever done “energy circuit” or “energy ball” exercises (“Horse Stance” if you’ve studied the eastern schools)?
Never done any of that stuff.
I have squeezed water from a stone LOL.
Probably should look into it more, honestly.

Java...I wonder if they use coffee in part...
Coffee seems to get energy flowing for sure.
When I perform Reiki my hands get MUCH hotter than my core body temp.
I have a nice piece of shale, and if I hold it, I can sweat through it just by concentrating.
Kinda just a silly "parlor trick" that I've only shown one person before.
Shale is pretty porous.
