If you're following financial markets, the Fed Reserve has been monitoring un/employment, wages, jobs as a key indicator of curbing inflation......On bloomberg this morning, the talking heads were struggling to understand how few jobless claims there have been given all of the Tech company layoffs.
In short, you're not unemployed if you're dead.

Joseph Farrell pointed out some DoL reports that didn't quite make sense last year: he pointed out that it appeared they subtracted a few million, then added in a number from some other calculation. However, they couldn't account for about 2.1 million missing from the labor force. The culprits were 1: unvaxxed purges (which would still be able to be reported), or 2: they're dead (which would not have been accounted for) in the 18-65 range.
