Read his Auto Biography "This time the the World" very interesting. He was commander for the reserves in Iceland. Got honorable discharge at 19 years in for his views.

Crazy how a guy that high up and fought changed. Not too surprising if you've read "War is a Racket by General Smedley Butler.
