It's going to happen everywhere. It's just that here most everyone owns guns, and the millions if preppers in America certainly own guns. When SHTF for real (like global war + civil wars + "digital covid"), you want to be in a place like this, unless you live in an area so remote that nobody will ever find you. The chaos we are heading toward will be unsurvivable for a majority, in a majority of countries.
