a) CORDIS (to fasten) COMMOTIO (motion through agitation)...suggested progressivism.

b) living within the process of dying implies resisting (temporary growth) while progressing (ongoing loss).

It's ones free will of choice to follow suggested orders or be the resistance within the perceivable natural order.
