While possible that our governments are fucking with us in even more stupid ways, we are also entering the last winter of Solar minimum. The sun cycles every 11 years. 2012 was a hot year leading into the 2014 solar maximum. We will hit solar max in 2025 with the really warm summers starting next year. So naturally, this is the last cold winter for the next decade (eleven years).

It should be no surprise it's really cold. In a summer or two, prepare to be assaulted by global warming hype again and "record" high temperatures.
