I guess it's chicken and egg. I often think we just talk about what's trending. I lament that this place is a near echo chamber though. My theory is that we've been exiled to echo chambers to keep the mainstream echo chamber going as well. A good forum usually has the rebuttal as the top reply. An echo chamber has the top reply agreeing with OP.
