No. The military is not, and never has been, as well organized/capable as you give them credit for. The amount of coordination that what you're talking about would've required in no way would have been justified, and the army isn't going to (and couldn't if they wanted to) murder some disillusioned jr enlisted infantryman and cover it up for decades; no matter the celebrity status or how insufferable he was. This is something from a Hollywood drama script, not real life. If they didn't want him they would have just left him stateside on rear-d.
If silencing a disgruntled/jackass specialist was that important, they could have chaptered him out of the army, or transferred him to Alaska, or sent him to the "big army." Guys get booted out of batt literally all the time. If they want you gone, they rfs you; do not pass go, no questions asked; you're on a one way bus trip to North Carolina.
I'm pretty sure they (used to at least) show the video or somethng to young rangers because Tillman was a jackass who almost got his entire fireteam killed. He wasn't put in any position, he basically Leroy Jenkins himself into a crossfire
Per most rangers I've ever met, the only conspiracy here is the promotion and silver star that he got simply because of his celebrity status.
Sure but the account of his death that was pushed by the military was known to be factually incorrect.
