Nah that’s a bit harsh.

He’s just a guy with regular intellect (maybe slightly below average) who had his ego pumped up from years of international fame and riches.

He got put through years of MkUltra and gaslighting, drug abuse, both legal and illegal (including psych meds).

That’s a roller coaster that would break most people mentally.

That’s why he is the way he is and you should have at least some sympathy for any mk victim.

But right now he’s acting as a useful idiot.
