When you or I set goals, there are things we WOULD NOT DO to obtain those goals. We would not harm our own children or whore our own mothers. We have a moral code. We have a desire for righteousness. Even if you nor I were ever taught a religion by bible or quran or torah, would we still have an inherent knowledge of right versus wrong? A gut feeling. A inner voice. "This is wrong" "I shouldn't do this" "I should not hurt this person. I can see their suffering and their innocense. I can stop their suffering."
What about the people who carry out evil but inside their own minds they have what they consider "good intentions." I'm going to FORCE you with brute force to get the vaccine shot because it will save us all derp derp I'm a good person now. In some ways the road to hell truly is paved with good intentions. Do people do what they do because they have KNOWLEDGE of their own evil and the very intention to carry out harm and evil unto others? In rare cases maybe yes. Most people are just unwitting surrogates. Which brings us to another important question.
How directly or indirectly are we all guilty? If my government is corrupt and uses my tax dollars to buy bombs and then uses those bombs to kill palestinian children, am I personally to blame? I did pay taxes and those taxes were then utilized by bad people to conduct evil. Am I indirectly responsible?
