You're his fan, I get it. It's a popular concept really. When someone likes a person, they tend to overlook their faults. It happens when the image of a person is different than reality. Same as athletes who use drugs and are a generally bad example, yet they are loved in their sport. Or why politicians in the US are chosen by a popularity contest. Or even a first date scenario. Of course it is biased, but completely understandable.
