I believe that this is the reason they did it, to prevent a wave of "died suddenly" lawsuits.

no, now because we foot the bill...i.e. the government will handle and dish out money for lawsuits...vaccine manufacturers are no longer liable..which was done initially because they were going to stop making vaccines (that kept making people sick), so the government decided to take on liability, and then that got too rough, so they changed the stipulations to even get a lawsuit paid out...so now it is extremely difficult to even prove that a vaccine did in fact cause an injury...they will fight you so they don't have to pay. when they do pay, our tax dollars cover every cent.
1986: the act movie is a good one going over this...they could make vaccines safer for a few cents per dose...but it's all about money.
