Had a Jewish ex-boyfriend who was proud about his Alma mater and proud about his fraternity's KKK history, e.g. Sigma Chi. And to top it off, as recently as 2021, he told me about the parts of the cross burning initiation and everything he loved... so yeah, we're not together anymore due to this and multiple other mental health issues and circumstances.

In the 1920s, Jewish students were massively over represented in Harvard. They made up about 25% of the student body despite being less than 2% of the population. Harvard installed a Jewish quota as a result. A lot of them were fairly wealthy frat boys like your ex.

I must say, from my own experience, that tension you speak of seems to be strongest in the very deep blue demoKKKrat NorthEast.
If you go to the South, I think blacks are so high a percentage of the population that whites and blacks interact on a daily basis just by going into town, to the store, or working together at their jobs. So there's no tension or anything superficial about it. As elsewhere, blacks generally move into black neighborhoods and whites move into white neighborhoods. There's poor, crime-infested black neighborhoods. But I've also traveled through middle class black neighborhoods where I suspect many black government employees live with their steady government income, job security and pensions and benefits.
I say this because it's usually white demoKKKrats who live in 99% white gated communities lecturing the red Republican Bible Belt about how "racist" they are when they live with and work with and shop with and interact with black people on a daily basis.

They saw some black people walking around my neighborhood and were too scared to even pull in the driveway. They let me out and hurried off.
