One thing is trying to avoid conscription, which is not a problem at all, you know, Russian officials are corrupt as fuck, if you were "lucky", just pay a doctor some decent sum, and you are not suitable for military service, and another thing is to use the threat of conscription as an excuse to get long time desired, but nearly impossible for many Russians refugee status or whatever kind of residence permit on the West.
In the past, to get permanent residence on the West without being an IT specialist and selling yourself into some BigBrother workfarm slavery for years, you had to be a faggot, top liberal, or pay hundreds of thousands USD/EUR as "investment" to state economy. Obviously, number of those who want western permanent residence is much more than those who are programmers willing to be a slave, faggots, top liberals or oligarchs. So, they thought that it is their chance.
Few years ago, even I consider a possibility to move to, say Canada, even periodically had some nice proposals from Western companies, thinking that changing Russian shit to Western slightly decorated and slightly different shit was not a bad idea, but during coronahoax the West shown its real face. From my point of view, for now, any possible Russian shit will be much preferrable than all that hardcore Western shit I saw in last few years.
