No my assumptions are not idiotic when it comes to laying down trust to the ideas of the past, while much of the usable science they produced is still viable most of the ideas are not. Any ideas used to subjugate and control get an extra layer of analysis.
So when it comes to anything that was used to educate and enforce belief and control is likely a tool forged in corruption.
I will say it again, I feel no need to prove or disprove a given theory be it round or flat. The goal is to understand available information. There are many reasons why such things are produced and it is mostly to take away time and ability.
My own position is that physically a flat earth does not make any sense. I feel that in order to even accept flat earth you must have something else driving it.
Well, I won't lie. I did not make it very far in her video. There was no speed up option and as I clicked thru I was not enthralled by her musings.
I am not interested in doing a ton of research, if I cannot access a foundation of evidence/data/thought on it without coming across reams and reams of rambling incoherent thought, then I am not interested. So far, that is precisely the case when trying to locate quickly 'why flat earth matters' It seems this is a piece of wording that is overloaded to the max. I recommend you either give it to me in point form, or link me directly to someone else who will.
At the end of the day I have a variety of questions regarding the belief set.
For example, nothing is cut and dry, so one with this belief is likely to harbor a set of beliefs and reject others. One thing I have noticed is that within the flat earth belief system many end up rejecting a substantial amount of accepted ideas.
So such questions as, where does all the matter come from? why is our flat earth full of various materials? do we have asteroid collisions in this belief? What is this about super close sun and moon, implying we know nothing at all and the sun is a light source held in the sky by our beliefs?
I would be interested to read your thoughts in point form with respect to why the earth is flat in your understanding, why we care and if you can fill in any other blanks if you would be so kind.
