Question for Flat Earth Scientists. Why do the days change length? (theconversation.com)
posted 3 years ago by MindlessRationality 3 years ago by MindlessRationality +10 / -4
The length of Earth's days has been mysteriously increasing, and scientists don't know why
The length of a day has critical impacts on our technologies, navigation, and more.

So I can take a telescope and look alllllll the way through the atmosphere on a clear night and see the surface of the moon which is 238000 miles away. But that same telescope can't see China. Because the earth isn't flat you fucking idiot.

It is flat. Seems you are the fucking idiot if you don’t know about the law of perspective or the vanishing point.

Ever taken a plane across the world before?

Yep. Incline, level out (flying across the flat earth), decline.

Another obvious answer to another retarded statement. Objects in the sky, particularly the more directly overhead they are, have less atmosphere to be viewed through, and the density of air decreases with altitude. This is why the sun and moon are brightest when directly overhead, and lessen the closer they get to the horizon because they have far more atmosphere to penetrate. Humans already can't breath at 30,000 feet cause the air is so thin, and you are talking about the moon being 238k miles away as if that distance proves your point. The lower your altitude and the lower to the horizon you look, the more atmospheric density you have to obscure your vision. Globe earth and flat earth both claim this phenomenon to be true.

And yet you can still see the moon, at over 200 thousand miles away, even if it's at the horizon, but not China.

The sun and moon are small and local and just like an airplane they eventually vanish at the horizon (though they can be seen at a far greater distance than a plane). The Firmament also has an effect on their light distribution. Cultures around the world all seemed to have a version of this model, and it was even taught in USA until the cabal brainwashed everyone in the early 1900s. NASAs fake moonlandings and other works sealed the deal. It's all a plot to hide our creator and get people to become atheist and believe the big bang religion and evolution. If people knew the truth of our cosmology and creation, authorities world wide would be discredited overnight, and aethism would be impossible. But if you want to believe NASAs lies and that we live on a sphere spinning at over 1000mph, hurtling around the sun 66,616mph, the sun going around the galaxy at 514,000mph, the milky way hurtling at unimaginable speeds through the universe, yet we can't experience any of that motion and the stars never change; then go ahead and buy it. You don't have to believe flat earth is correct, but at least try to find the lies about our cosmology.

That is the dumbest fucking shit I've ever heard in my life. We've been able to measure the circumference of the earth since 1600 using shadows. But I guess they were alllllll in on the grand conspiracy.
