I have no doubt this will be used for bad ends, but the principle is correct, the British do not need "european human rights" we are perfectly capable of crafting our own language of human rights that is far less abusable than the current wording from the ECHR which is stopping us enforcing our border and kicking out migrants that take dingies across from france and then get put up in 4star hotels with prepaid credit cards consistently refilled by the government.
