Half. The other half is what you presume he was accomplishing, on purpose, by his quatrains.
Fair, Sure I feel regardless of anything he was absolutely misleading people with false claims, that is his MO.
If you want to believe in someone having prophetic visions then that is your prerogative. Personally I would be more inclined to accept that he was merely broadcasting a message he was directed to make available.
I didn't say I believe him, where did you get that idea? I'm saying that at the time, astrology was considered legitimate the same way people today listen CNBC for financial advice.

I think it is precisely what I am saying, when people brainwash people using media based rhetoric and falsehoods people end up believing the most heinous shit.
So, back then like now any pundits pushing opinion pieces based on the small amount of information they have trying to persuade people into belief sets is no different than today.
This guy was one. Of that era a mouthpiece for a specific group. Which group? well, just read the shit and figure it out.
