Captain Cook once tried to circumnavigate Antarctica and failed after 3 years and 50,000 nautical miles.

Its the shore that holds the ocean’s water. The sun is small and local and the UV light is not powerful enough to melt it. The earth looks like the azimuthal equidistant projection map. Not space orb.
