Way too volatile to be used as a stable medium of exchange.
Bartering is more consistent.
A roll of t.p. for two cans of beer. Been that ways since 2020. Not kidding.
Been saying this for eight years, now.
I like bartering my skill sets for goods and services.
Built a pole barn in exchange for a 09 Dodge pickup last year. Made more selling it, than if I quoted per square foot on that job.
Was easy peasy!
A week ago, I gave two dozen eggs for a new skillsaw blade.
Dude, had no cash, so I traded for a new blade he had.
Easy peasy.
No cash, no DC. Product for product, service for product.
It works magically.
