Details are minimal right now.

I do know that both Venezuela and Argentina recently asked to join BRICS+.

Nicaragua is now host to Russian fighters and crews. Appears to be permanent.

Not sure if the exercise is just naval in scope.

Russia and China have been influencing the western hemisphere for some time now.

Should Venezuela and Argentina join BRICS+, then it's safe to assume a Russian/ Chinese military presence, land, air, and sea.

No different than how we protect our trading influence.
